ESHCHAR - A VILLAGE WITH A DIFFERENCE!

Join us at ESHCHAR, a community village in the central Galilee. ESHCHAR is a community with both religious and secular residents living together in harmony and mutual respect. Come and live at our community, take in the scenery and its closeness to nature, and become part of our special community. Our aim is to live in an environment of mutual tolerance and togetherness. ESHCHAR is a wonderful place to reside in and to raise one's children.

Location: ESHCHAR is situated just 15 minutes drive away from Karmiel, 10 minutes from the Misgav center and a 45 minutes drive from Haifa.

Number of Families: The village has 80 families with 200 children up to the age of 18 years. The number of families envisaged in the final development planning phase is 500.

Educational Framework for Children: The village has a children's day group for toddlers aged from three months, a pre-kindergarten and nursery schools. School children study within the Misgav educational system that is recognized as one of the best in Israel. The regional council is responsible for transportation of the children to and from the villages to attend school and the regional community center activity circles throughout the day.

Youth Activities: There are abundant and varied youth activities organized by our youth coordinator (during her national community service) as well as trained youth leaders providing regular activities twice a week. In addition, we organize varied social activities during the summer vacation and during Jewish and national festivals.

Worth Knowing! The community at ESHCHAR is both warm and bonded and celebrates together all national cultural and festival events. It has a weekly community newsletter, holds events, lectures and provides activity circles for children, youths and adults. There are also regular Jewish text studies and the village has its own synagogue. Future plans include the establishment of an environmentally friendly industry at the village.
