MANOF - BOTH A HOME AND A COMMUNITY!
Join us at Manof, a community village in the central Galilee. Manof is a beautiful and well tended village situated on Mount Shechaniya. It offers a well-developed community life. Manof was established in 1980 by a core group of South African immigrants along with other English-speaking and Israeli families. Manof is particularly noted for its wide and varied community activities. Manof's residents are actively involved in volunteer work ranging from the physical development of the village to arranging celebrations of Jewish festivals and other cultural events.
Location: Manof lies just 10 minutes drive away from the Misgav center, 20 minutes from Karmiel and a 40 minutes drive from Haifa.
Number of Families: The village has 150 families with 210 children up to the age of 18 years. The number of families envisaged in the final development planning phase is 350.

Educational Framework for Children: There is an educational framework for children from at the village that includes a toddler's day nursery up until a pre-school kindergarten. The Har Shechanya elementary school is located a short distance away.
Youth Activities: Wide-ranging youth activities are organized by a youth leader together with the local youth committee. A varied range of social activities are organized during the summer vacation and during the festivals.

Ajacent to Manof is an industrial park with 3,000 meters of office buildings and 2,000 meters of workshops with a capacity for 10,000 meters of environmentally clean industries. There are regular services at the community's synagogue at weekends and Jewish festivals as well as an Hebrew and English library, a well-stocked mini-market, a sports court and a children's petting zoo.
