GILON- A GREEN HEARTLAND &THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN GALILEE!
Join us at Gilon, a community village in the central Galilee. Gilon was established by a core group of families from Haifa and is named after Mount Gilon on which the village is situated. Gilon overlooks a fantastic view of the Bet Hakerem valley and Haifa Bay. The village offers a vibrant and active lifestyle incorporating all the advantages of living in the countryside and being close to an urban center.
Location: Close to the Akko-Safed highway, Gilon is just 15 minutes drive from Karmiel and 15 minutes by car to Akko. Nahariya is 20 minutes drive away and Haifa is a 40 minutes drive by car.
Number of Families: The village has 195 families with 336 children up to the age of 18 years. The number of families envisaged in the final development planning phase is 700 (together with the neighboring community village of Tzurit).
Educational Framework for Children: There is an educational infrastructure for children from 0 to 6 years. There are frameworks for a day nursery and kindergartens including an activity club for 1st to 12th grade school children. Next to Gilon is the Har Gilon elementary school.
Youth Activities: Gilon has youth activities at the village organized by a youth coordinator and within a youth movement framework (from the 2nd grade upwards). Gilon also has a youth club providing an abundance of youth and social activities especially during the summer vacation and festival time. There are also activity circles at the community center extension situated on Mount Gilon.

Gilon has a wide range of social and cultural activities with a members club that is used for activity circles for children and adults, cultural evenings, lectures and joint activities during the festivals. Gilon has its own communications system with satellite TV and broad-band Internet at an affordable price. 
Proximity to Employment Centers: Gilon is located in easy driving distance from a number of industrial parks and commercial centers. These include Karmiel (Delta, Elbit), the Bar-Lev and Tardion industrial parks, the Rafael Leshem site and the Haifa Bay, Akko and Nahariya industrial zones. There is also an industrial building as well as office rooms for hire at Gilon. |
